VOLUNTEERS

SVDA Loves our Volunteers! Our schooling shows, clinics and programs can't happen without our volunteers. You can volunteer in advance for schooling show positions by checking the Show Schedule page and emailing our Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers are eligible for rider coupons at the annual awards banquet for additional hours beyond eight (8) hour requirement.

Free Training is provided and other incentives like volunteer raffle gift cards and more!

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT FOR MEMBERS:

8 Hours per award year | The first 4 hours MUST be completed by July 1st of the same award year.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:

  • ENTRY SECRETARY - 8 HOURS
  • SHOW SECRETARY - 4 HOURS
  • SCRIBE - 4 HOURS
  • RING STEWARD - 4 HOURS
  • RUNNER - 4 HOURS
  • JUDGE LUNCH & SNACKS - 3 HOURS
  • HOSPITALITY - 8 HOURS
  • RING SETUP - 3 HOURS
  • RING TAKE DOWN - 1 HOUR
  • RING TRANSPORT - 6 HOURS
  • FARM DONATION FOR SHOW OR EVENT - 8 HOURS
  • DEMONSTRATION RIDER - 2 HOURS
  • OTHER OPPORTUNITIES AT BOARD'S DISCRETION
